IN THE KNOW
Getting Around Town
Public transportation has gotten a cool (and green) new
upgrade!
i-Ride Sarasota
is a free, eco-
friendly car service
that operates in
the downtown
Sarasota area.
The program's
low-speed electric
vehicles travel
in the area of 14th Street, School Avenue, Mound Street and
the Bayfront daily from 11 am to 11 pm. It is anticipated that
this new service will help ease traffic congestion during tourist
season. That's something we can all cheer about!
Tampa is testing out a similar service over the next three years
called the Downtowner. Links to download the company's app
are available at RideDowntowner.com.
Here in Sarasota, catch an i-Ride by hailing a well-marked car
on the street, through its free mobile app Gotcha Ride or by
calling 941-444-2585.

HIGH CUISINE
The legalization of marijuana in the United States is bringing with
it an opportunity for creative cooks to draw traffic to the budding
cannabis industry. High-end chefs showcase their talents by crafting
delicious steaks, salad dressings, desserts, as well as innovative pasta
and chicken dishes infused with this unique ingredient. And while the
cannabis market makes its way into a more professional spectrum,
connoisseurs are willing to pay large amounts of money to partake.
By taking "edibles" to a higher level, this rapidly growing trend allows
consumers to enjoy a delightful meal tinged with a bit of marijuana
and a giggle or two.
A favorite among wine lovers, the elegant
Spirale wine glass is more functional and
fashionable than ever. Vacanti, the folks behind
the innovative design, is receiving rave reviews
for the product's amazing functionality and
simplicity. A vintage's rich flavor is enhanced
as the glass captures built-up sediment in the
bottom layer of the patented spiral. Visit
Vacanti.com to become a backer on
Kickstarter and be one of the first to sip in style!
