Brunch at Briarpatch… what a lovely way to spend a
Sunday afternoon. Seated at a small café table on the sidewalk,
amid the hustle and bustle of Park Avenue strolling and
shopping, you will have the perfect perch to do some choice
people watching while enjoying a terrific meal.
Briarpatch is an area favorite, and does not accept reservations,
so expect a bit of a wait. Depending on the weather, you may
have a better chance taking the first available seating option.
While dining alfresco is certainly appealing, the interior of the
restaurant is equally inviting, with a bright, hip atmosphere and
plenty of cozy seating.
Check out the specials board to see what exciting surprises the
chef has in store for the day. The avocado toast
(with two eggs cooked any way you like them)
caught my attention immediately. My companion
opted for the signature raspberry lemon cream
pancakes on the regular menu, which has a
slightly Southern touch. Neither of us were
disappointed with our choice. Portions were
generous, so we both dove into my selection first,
and saved the pancakes essentially for "dessert."
Breakfast and lunch are served all day, every day
at the Briarpatch, with menu items ranging from
Belgian waffles and omelets to Greek salads,
burgers and veggie quesadillas. Hours are 7am
to 5pm, Monday through Saturday; and 8am to
5pm on Sunday.
