Jules Lewis Gibson Founder & Editor In Chief Follow Jules @SeasideJules we connec t in a more profoundly emotional way than men do. We bond quickly and deeply when we choose to. Women have an ex traordinary ability to connect beyond race, religion, politics and country. As I binged on the new Amazon series Good Girl Revolt last weekend, I was energized by the sisterhood the women of the 60s and 70s created. Somewhere along the past few decades, a lot of that unity was lost as we traversed the slipper y ladder of success. Many women who made it to the top enjoyed being " the only" female at the table or feared if they helped another woman, she might take her spot. But the days of only letting one girl in the door are over—it's time we grab some sisters and bring them along. I've seen inspiring examples of this kind of sisterhood in business over the last couple of years. Some of the women I have featured, such as Susan Blackburn, a r e s h i n i n g e x a m p l e s o f p a y i n g i t for ward. Women across the countr y are breathing new life into the Feminist Movement as we realize we still have mountains to climb. A lot of women ar e s tr ug gling on the bot tom, even more are stuck in the middle, and very, very few have reached the summit. So it's my mission to create oppor tunities for women of influence to make strong bonds of alliance with our Dinner Parties. Women need more engaging, meaningful oppor - tunities to bond on a social level the way men do on their fishing trips, golf outings and business dinners. In February we will host our first New Girls Club Dinner Party for just this purpose. T h i s s p r i n g w e w i l l i n t r o d u ce o u r N e w G i r l s C l u b Workshops to give women the knowledge they need to get to the top. I'm working with professors, educational advi- sor s , coaches and leading p r o f e s s i o n a l s t o d e v e l o p courses not found in traditional classrooms. Our goal is to impar t the knowledge women need to succeed not just in their career, but in life. It's our way to offer a hand up to the leaders of tomorrow. Also in 2017, we will launch our New Girls Club Audio Magazine and Podcast Channel, which includes a variety of bundled audio content for women to enjoy throughout the month. We have a phenomenal collection incorporating some of the content we share with you in our print publi- cation conver ted into an engaging audio format as well as new programming such as our Girl Time Roundtables. We are pioneering new ground with this innovative platform to connect with our audience. I've spent hundreds of hours evaluating how to create a digital experience that engages readers as effectively as a print publication. I believe this platform is at least one exciting answer. With my deepest gratitude I thank all of the women who have helped me bring my mission to life. I am grateful for the long hour s and friendship we have shared. It is my greatest wish that you will join us on this journey.
