SHOPPING our home is the perfect showcase for art that speaks to you, and speaks to guests about who you are. Surround yourself with pieces that make a statement about your own individual style and personality. The Winter Park/Orlando area is the perfect place to discover new treasures to add to your collection. There are so many intriguing choices to visit and explore! A logical first stop is Baterbys, central Florida's largest award-winning art gallery. The incredible collection includes works by world-renowned 20th-century masters, acclaimed contemporary artists, as well as vibrant local artisans. The spacious 15,000-square-foot Winter Park showroom truly exhibits Baterbys' claim to be the place "Where Art is Passion." Around the corner you'll find the salon-style Grace Gallery, dedicated to the promotion of contemporary artists—from the more established in the art world to those who are mid-career and are making a name for themselves on the scene today. Grace Gallery strives to make the art buying experience an enjoyable one, and caters to art lovers at all stages of the process of building a collection. George and Marty Whipple's original vision for a gallery started in 1987 on McRae Street in Orlando, with a goal to create a unique place for independent artists to work, while also making them accessible to the local community. The artist collective was born. McRae Art has held court at its current Winter Park address since 1998 and showcases the talent of almost two dozen artists. Private showings of the studio are available by appointment. Found at the very heart of Orlando's Downtown Arts District, City Arts Factory is home to six independently operated art galleries, all featuring the work of local and international artists. It is a constantly evolving, ever-changing showcase that exhibits art on a rotating monthly basis. The LG Art Gallery was founded by Louis Geys, an avid collector who brought his love of art to Orlando from Belgium, along with more than 30 years of experience in modern and contemporary art. The space displays a full spectrum of pieces from the 50s to the 90s—including abstract, realism, impressionism and pop art. Baterbys Y 14 | Fannie Hillman + Associates
