In downtown Lakewood Ranch,
The Bullard Group, a Clearwater-
based developer, plans to begin
construction on a 44-unit luxury
condominium this summer. The
Lakeshore will comprise of two
five-story buildings along Lake
Uihlein with a community amenity
area in the center of the towers
offering residents a lakeside,
resort-style pool and spa, outdoor
grilling areas and gathering space.

currently handling pre-sales.
OPAL Sands Resort, the newest
property under Delray-based
Ocean Properties, opened in
Clearwater Beach. The 15-story
hotel boasts four restaurants, a
zero-entry swimming pool as well
as a full-service spa and fitness
center, plus 17,00 square feet of
event space indoors and outdoors.
Inspired by Clearwater's sugary
white sands and lively atmosphere,
the curvature of the architecture,
designed by Duncan Miller Ullman,
provides every guest room with a
clear view of the Gulf of Mexico.
The first quarter of 2016 was the
strongest quarter for new homes
started in the Sarasota-Bradenton
housing market since the third
quarter of 2006. In the quarter,
1,443 single-family units were
started, a 61.6% increase over the
first quarter last year, according
to a statement from data firm
Metrostudy. Because of retiree
demand, Metrostudy projects
continued growth in starts and
closings in Sarasota over the next
few years.

be St. Petersburg's tallest
building, ONE St. Petersburg
condominium tower. The
41-story condo at 100 First Avenue North will feature
253 luxury condos, a 40,000 square-foot elevated resort
deck including a fitness center, swimming pool, whirlpool,
spa and private cabanas as well as a 173-room Hyatt
Hotel along with 17,000 square-feet of retail space.
Already, sales of the planned luxury condos have topped
$110 million, as of the end of February. The Hyatt Hotel
portion of the tower is slated to open in 2017.
