For almost two decades, Dress for Success Tampa
Bay has empowered women to achieve economic
independence by providing a network of support,
professional attire and the development tools to
succeed and thrive. While many may know that Dress
for Success provides professional attire for women
to secure employment, the organization is much
more than simply an outfit. To date, the chapter has
successfully helped 10,000 women find personal
and professional success. The international not-
for-profit organization, with chapters in almost
150 cities in 20 countries, has helped hundreds of
thousands of women take the first steps to self-
sufficiency.
Through its extended network
of resources and partnerships
across Tampa Bay, Dress for Success
provides women of all ages the
opportunity to learn and embrace
long-lasting solutions to break the cycle
of poverty and return to the workforce.
The organization offers employment
retention, job training and a full-service
career center to support each woman's
individual transition. The career center often
marks the first step for women who gain
the technological skills and guidance to
reenter the workforce. The center provides
computers, resume and cover letter writing
lessons, interview preparation classes and
job search assistance.
