The national homebuilder, headquartered in Lakewood Ranch, opened nine new communities from Manatee to Collier counties, selling 864 homes in total. The company expects to unveil eight new communities during the first quarter of 2015 as part of its five-year expansion plan. Construction on the new 450-unit CitySide apartments in Sarasota's Rosemary District is scheduled to begin in April. The four-story complex will feature an urban con- temporary architectural design and will offer one- and two-bedrooms, or two bedrooms with a den. Prices are expected to range from $1,000 to $2,000 a month. Florida created 21,700 private sector jobs in December, the single strongest month since last June. Texas reported the largest number of new private jobs creations with 31,100 followed by California and Florida. S outh Florida Museum announced plans for a major expansion project this year. Executives want to add 30,000 square feet for classrooms, outdoor area, more aquarium tanks, store and cafe and an exhibit hall. The South Florida Museum is the largest natural history and cultural museum on Florida's west coast, attracting nearly 70,000 visitors in 2014. It is located in downtown Bradenton, next to the popular Riverwalk.
