8 | GRAVITAS MAGAZINE Thank you joining us for the inaugural edition of GRAVITAS. My team and I are excited to share with you our ideas for a new kind of magazine for women, based on wisdom, inspiration and authenticity. Women today have rich, complex lives, but so few publications seem to truly speak to the modern woman. While other magazines appeal to the fantasies of youth and fashion, GRAVITAS illuminates true beauty with an authentic representation of women; the way we actually look, think, dress and live. We are blazing a different trail, by shining the spotlight, not on celebrities and models, but amazing women living in our own community. In this issue, we highlight some of the most fascinating women entrepreneurs in Florida; Joan Morgan, owner of Dream Weaver boutique in St. Armand's Circle, Kelly Pyper and Tracy Young, of Pyper and Young Creative Agency as well as Sasha Fruitticher, owner of London Philips, Tampa's premier men's boutique. They share their thoughts on personal and professional success. We also discuss being a working mother versus a stay-at-home mom in "Opt-Out/Opt-In" as well as, this culture's self-obsession in our feature, "Narcissist Nation." We had a great time chatting with Pam and Les McCurdy of McCurdy's Comedy Club, getting their thoughts on relationships and how they make it work. I share my humorous re-entry into the dating scene in The Last Laugh. And, a special thanks to Social on First for introducing us to their chic, fabulous restaurant. We encourage you to stop by.
