44 | GRAVITAS MAGAZINE What are some of the things you like to do when you're not work- ing? TY: Reading, spending time with my kids. Lacey, 17 and Dylan, 7. KP: Time with family and friends, loving life in the Sunshine State. We try to go to the beach every Friday night with friends for sunset, what we call our "Red Cup Club." If Hollywood were doing a biopic of your life, who would you want to play you? TY: Scarlett Johanasson – she is so sexy! KP: Lucille Ball? Joan Rivers? Someone who can laugh at themselves. But maybe someone living would be a better idea. What are some of your interests and hobbies? TY: Who has time for that? KP: Does wine count?! What do you do to decompress? What relaxes you? TY: Time with friends. Preferably with wine involved. KP: I tag along with Tracy and her friends for the wine! What was one of the greatest crises you had at work and how did you resolve it? ere is no crisis in advertising! Where did you hear that there are?! What do you find is one of the greatest challenges women face in the corpo- rate world? TY: ere are still mostly men running most major corporations in our country, but we are gaining ground on them. I think men are starting to realize how much women can bring to the table in the corpo- rate world. KP: I think a lot of that comes from other women. Stop the debate over who is bet- ter – working moms versus stay at home moms. Read "Lean In" by Sheryl Sandberg. Be a mentor to other women. Empower each other. Know that "having it all" is a fallacy – have as much as you can – and enjoy every bit of what you can accomplish! How do you see women in business evolving over the next decade? TY: I see women continuing to have more power positions than ever before. KP: Agreed! Women are amazing at multi- tasking. We need to start taking credit for it. What are your top 5 favorite songs? Favorite movie? Book you've read recently? TY: Favorite book – e Stand. Favorite movie – Good Will Hunting. KP: I'm an avid reader – actually in two book clubs – so I read a ton. I'm look- ing forward to seeing "Gone Girl" in the movies – if you didn't read the book first, you are in for a bumpy ride! And I'm surprised Tracy isn't telling you her top favorite songs – because she breaks into song a lot! If you had to advise a woman who was just getting started in the advertising world, what advice would you give her? TY: Invest in yourself, constantly educate yourself, thoroughly check out the com- pany before you take the job. KP: Dive in! It's a career that you learn best when it's on fire! And if you want to make a lot of money, go into sales! If you had one life do-over, what would it be? personal or professional. TY: Inappropriate content for this maga- zine. KP: No mulligans needed for me. Every- thing happens for a reason! No point of having regrets. What are some of things on your bucket list? TY: Travel the world. KP: Tracy, can I come with you?! What is one quirky thing no one knows about you? TY: Again – inappropriate content! KP: I watch the movie "Dirty Dancing" every time it's on cable. I can't even explain why. "Nobody puts Baby in a corner!" It's a problem if they are running a repeat marathon. Above Tracy's desk hangs this painting by a local Tampa artist, "Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." - Marilyn Monroe
