Counsellors International's
"Winning Strategies in Economic
Development Marketing" survey,
Florida is the second highest rated
business climate state, eclipsed only
by Texas listed at number one.
The inventory of existing
single-family homes for sale
in the Naples area continues
to shrink, thereby, pushing
the median price up 10% in September compared
with the same month one year ago. According to
the Naples Area Board of Realtors, the median
price of an existing single-family home rose to
$320,000 in September.

Gay Rebel Thompson, President of
Cement Industries in Fort Myers,
expects the construction industry
to continue recovering in 2015. Her
company expects a 25% increase in
sales. "I've even heard someone is
building a hotel, and I haven't heard
that in years," she says.
Fort Myers city council is discussing
the possibility of creating an official
film office with hopes of attracting
major film productions to the area.
Currently, the state has an incentive
program offered up to 30%
transferable tax credits.
