sentinel over acres of natural beauty, the
allure of e Concession is clear.
A ll great works begin with a vision. For this premier golf
community, the vision was inspired not just by the game itself,
but one of golf 's most memorable moments. e Concession
community was created in homage to that historic event, widely
regarded as the ultimate gesture of sportsmanship.
e event in question has moved into the halls of myth and
legend. On the final hole of the 1969 Ryder Cup match at Royal
Birkdale, Jack Nick laus conceded a two-foot pu to Tony
Jack lin to halve their match for the first tie in Ryder Cup histor y.
Nick laus' gesture became known as "the concession" and marked
the beginning of a lasting friendship between the two that became
the inspiration for many noteworthy achievements, one of which
being the creation of this great golf course community.
In 2004, Nick laus and Jack lin set out to find the perfect piece of
land for a championship golf course. What they found was a 1200-
acre seing full of wildlife, minutes from downtown Sarasota.
Upon it's debut in 2006, e Concession was hailed as the "Best
New Private Course" by Golf Digest. Designed in association
with Jack lin, the Nick laus Signature Golf Course spans over 520
pristine acres with ever y hole playing like a signature hole.
e nature-rich design is full of thought-provoking strategic
challenges winding around wetlands, 150-foot pines and
