While tulips are a quintessential symbol of spring, they
aren't limited to just spring these days. ese amazing
cut flowers are available year-round, thanks to innovation
and technology as well as global resourcing.
is simple yet modern tulip design is salable, profitable,
quick to design and appropriate for many occasions.
Tulips look stunning on their own, but I chose a high-end
container and added a touch of artistic flair with bear
grass and a fanciful bullion-wire collar, which gives the
design a playful and contemporary aesthetic.
MATERIALS
BOTANICALS

Bullion Wire
(Strong Pink)
STEP 1
Swirl blades of bear grass inside
the bowl, to create interest and
help hold the tulip stems in place.
STEP 4
Wind crimped bullion wire around
a dowel or a pen to create a coil,
and then shape the coiled wire, as
desired, to create a collar to go
around the rim of the bowl at the
base of the arrangement.
STEP 2
Remove any leaves from the tulips
that would fall below the water line
in the container.
STEP 3
Arrange the tulips in the bowl.
STEP 5
Add blades of bear grass into the
design, knotting the ends of some
small bundles, to create additional
interest and movement.
