Time to dust off those gym shoes and banish the sugar. Toss out the bad habits of 2022 and embark on a new year with a clean slate. January is, after all, the customary time to dig deep, take a realistic look at your life and make plans for a better future in both your business and personal lives. is month also marks my second anniversary at the helm of Florists' Review. e experience has exceeded my expectations in every way. I want to thank everyone who has contributed to our success. From my talented team to our dedicated partners and loyal subscribers, I am grateful beyond words for your support. When I started this journey, I had no idea what to expect. Would advertisers return? Would subscribers come back? Would I like the fl oral industry? So many unknowns, but I was game to give it a go and hoped for the best. Well, that turned out to be the best bet of my life. Not only is the industry a beautiful one to be a part of but the people are also incredibly generous. In most industries, people are very protective of their knowledge, but in the fl ower industry, talented fl oral designers eagerly nurture new talent and share their tips and tricks. And the subscribers, they enthusiastically returned when we relaunched print. In fact, in the 30 years I have spent in business, I have never seen the kind of loyalty and respect people have for the Florists' Review brand. Every month we strive to bring you creative inspiration and valuable business insights. e highlight of this issue is our 11th "American Floral Trends Forecast." From its inception in 2004, the Forecast has become the most respected and anticipated trends report for the fl ower industry. e fi rst nine editions were biennial reports, but last year, we changed the Forecast to an annual feature. We hope you will enjoy learning from it, and, more important, we know you will discover many applications of the fi ve trends for 2023 that will help you keep your business on the leading edge.
