Stephen Mangos is a second-generation retail florist in Toronto, Ontario Canada. The eldest of three children, Stephen had taken a leading role to make Canadiana Flowers one of Toronto's busiest and diverse florists. With a passion for creative design, a strong marketing background and desire to be the best that Canadiana Flowers can be, Stephen and staff have pushed the envelope of what a "typical" florist is in today's marketplace. Stephen and his brother Chris learned the basics of the retail flower industry at a young age, growing up among the beauty of flowers and the hard work of their parents, who started Canadiana Flowers more than 48 years ago. Stephen and Chris' parents, Jim and Teresa Mangos started the business in 1973, in a suburb of Toronto, and they and their company quickly grew to be well known in the Canadian floral industry. The success of Canadiana Flowers is based on the strong Mangos family values; hard work; and dedication to the company's staff, the customers and the lucky recipients of Canadiana Flowers products. With the internet changing the floral industry quickly and furiously, Stephen jumped at the chance of marketing Canadiana Flowers more than 20 years ago, registering several key domains to make Canadiana Flowers the dominant and premier florist in Toronto, with TorontoFlorist.com being the first website created for Canadiana Flowers. Two years ago, Stephen embarked on a mission to create, build and deploy a new website for the company. He analyzed and investigated several companies to migrate to a new florist website, but most of the providers couldn't meet his needs and wants. So, he decided to build a new site from the ground up and partnered with a Toronto- based IT company to design and build the company's current site. It was a monstrous task and took nearly a year to develop and test before it was deployed. Stephen was happy with the results, but he needed additional resources from a proven marketing firm to help him develop a marketing plan. That's when he reached out to Art Conforti, PFCI, at Bloomerang Solutions, and asked Art to take over some of Canadiana Flowers' marketing, starting with the company's Google Adwords (a.k.a. Google Ads) account. Stephen had used other firms in the past but didn't feel that they understood Canadiana's market or the floral industry. He found that Art was eager and happy to help, and he says that Art's years of marketing with Beneva Flowers, in Sarasota, Fla., and expertise with Adwords has made Canadiana Flowers prosper online. Art has managed Canadiana Flowers' Adwords account for several years, relieving Stephen of the onerous task. Stephen says that Art and his team at Bloomerang continue to amaze him with their new, creative and innovative marketing plans—including email marketing, customer surveys, YouTube videos, and wedding and sympathy websites—that generate more business for Canadiana Flowers and set it apart from the competition. Stephen regards Art and the Bloomerang team as not only a service provider to Canadiana Flowers but also a friend and colleague—and he is looking forward to discovering what their partnership will accomplish in 2022!
