T
he look we are calling Haiku is meant to pay homage to the
special things we collect on our travels. It lends itself as well
to the home flower customer as it does to hospitality clients.
With travel still limited beyond the desires of many flower consumers,
this look captures the feeling of a clean yet exotic aesthetic one would
expect to encounter at a high-end retreat. To create this look, we
recommend carefully grouping flowers of great visual interest, such as
birds-of-paradise, Gloriosa lilies or bright yellow sunflowers, in rustic,
natural-material vases such as patinated concrete. When styling this
look, follow a wabi-sabi approach (the acceptance of transience and
imperfection). Consider pulling in natural wood and linen textures.
With respect to foliage, this trend heavily favors warm and arid-
climate greenery such as cacti and palms, arranged with textural
interest in mind. is look will lead viewers to feel as though they
have just taken a visual holiday to a number of leading destinations
from the enclaves Mexico City to the islands of Greece.
