AFTF 22 44 January | 2022 memoir J ust like a perfect memory of a client's perfect day, this look brings the light of the "golden hour" directly into floral design. After nearly a decade of blush, white and apricot dominating wedding palettes, we predict a delightful change gaining momentum in 2022. Memoir works off the last decade of subtle colors but introduces an important modernizing change that feels fresh. By incorporating earthy grounding hues of rust, warm light and autumn wheat, this look moves away from the whitewashed shiplap box into a dreamscape of desert skies. With this look, we will continue to see pampas grass and dried palms creating big statements but supported by the introduction of fall foliages. Accent/filler flowers will play a big role in the look, especially fancy hybrid carnations and dramatic hanging Amaranthus. Traditional wedding flowers such as Dahlia and garden roses will appear in more saturated earth tones. Pop Culture References: National parks, astrology, warm autumn nights, Ace Hotels, Coachella Fillers/Greenery: Pampas grass, dried palms, autumn foliage Colors: White, Beige Linen, Rusty Red Vessels: Black metal, galvanized steel Accent Décor Carol Jillian, photographed by Taylor Tailleur
