AFTF 22 26 January | 2022 2 022 look-books from our favorite hard-goods producers, interior design fi rms and fashion houses are an inspirational sight to behold. In every consumer category, the experts agree: Creative stagnation is out, and change is in! Look forward to a year full of exciting new trends. To determine which new aesthetic movements will be most infl uential within the fl oral industry, we consulted trend leaders across the United States, Canada and beyond, surveying them in depth on more than 200 topics and asking them to nominate fl orists they look to most for innovative ideas. We asked respondents to rate trends including design aesthetics, color schemes and materials on a scale of waning, sustaining or gaining in 2022. With the insights gained from this survey, our team set out on a grand quest tracking down real-life fl orists across America who are already making waves with these trends to get their thoughts on what we can expect in 2022, a year that is destined to be full of opportunities for fl oral professionals. With their guidance, we identifi ed the six trends featured on these pages.
