welcome
A
utumn wedding season is upon us. As the cooler weather moves in and
the rustic colors of the season appear, fl orists across the country welcome
the season of love. Due to the relentless heat of summer, fall has now
become the wedding season of choice for blushing brides across the country.
Opting for autumn breezes rather than the stifl ing heat of June, September and
October are now the premier wedding months. To give you inspiration for the
season ahead, we asked our readers to submit their best autumn wedding work
from the last two years, and they did not disappoint. The bridal bouquets alone
almost make me want to rush down the aisle again—almost. I suppose I could
dress in an exquisite gown, fi ll a grand room with gorgeous fl owers, invite all
my family and friends but skip the "'till death do us part" stuff.
But seriously, we have some spectacular fl oral designers to inspire you this
fall, in addition to the creative wedding designs. We have "Wreaths for Every
Occasion," our "Best in Blooms" contest winners, intriguing tutorials from "Best in Blooms" contest winners, intriguing tutorials from "Best in Blooms"
Beth O'Reilly, AIFD, CFD, TMF; Ana Isabel Vivas; and our
own Nita Robertson, AIFD, CFD. We have something to
inspire everyone.
To ensure your business is on a solid foundation, we have an
interesting article on the "Psychology of Pricing," and we assess
our industry's staffi ng crisis. For wedding and event fl orists
looking to improve their bottom line, we also offer insights
into current wedding/event-planning software.
We hope the information and creativity we've
assembled in these pages help you make this
autumn your best ever!
Best wishes,
