Place the two design trays into a large rectangular metal tray, one on the back left corner and one at the front right corner. Cover the edges of the fl oral foam with fresh Sphagnum moss. Layer pieces of driftwood diagonally across the large rectangular metal tray. Step 2: Arrange stems of Delphinium x Belladonna 'Sky Blue' vertically, in a grouping, into the rear design tray, to resemble how they grow in nature. Arrange budded lateral Delphinium stems around the base of the taller Delphinium stems. Arrange stems of white Alstroemeria into the front design tray in a similar vertical, grouped manner. Step 3: Split two to four New Zealand fl ax leaves vertically into narrow strips, and arrange them among the Delphinium, to mimic beach grass (photo next column, top). Step 4: Arrange several Oriental-hybrid lily buds, in a cluster, and sprigs of blooming Japanese privet at the base of the Alstroemeria stems (photo below). Step 5: Tuck green button spray mums among the lily buds and blooming Japanese privet at the base of the Alstroemeria stems. Arrange additional green button spray mums and sprigs of blooming Japanese privet around the base of the Delphinium stems. Conceal any exposed fl oral foam with fresh Sphagnum moss.
