Full facilities include a large food pavilion overlooking the beach, restrooms and changing facilities, and beach rentals. INSIDE SCOOP: In the early morning and late afternoon, huge flocks of pelicans and gulls gather at the Pass to fish for their meals. P q g V Seagate Drive | 239-252-4000 Keewaydin Island Marco Island and Naples Shelling and sightseeing boats bring their guests to remote stretches of this stunningly pristine island within the Rookery Bay Reserve just a short boat ride from Naples or Marco Island. Bring your own boat, rent or take a guided sightseeing tour that includes a Keewaydin stop. There are no facilities, but the charming In the Pink, ice cream boat and the Just Beachy Burgers & More food boat motor right up to the sand at the south end of the island closest to Marco. Schedules vary. INSIDE SCOOP: Keewaydin is one of the most beautiful dog-friendly beaches in America. q Barrier Island Beach between Naples and Marco Island Lowdermilk Park Naples This stunning white sand beach, with its charming chickee umbrellas, large dining pavilion, lovely lawns with picnic tables, a pond and a gazebo, is a favorite for family gatherings, weddings, photo shoots, and birthday parties. There's a playground with sand volleyball, too. INSIDE SCOOP: It's conveniently located at a Naples Trolley stop, and there's plenty of metered parking. It's a fine vantage point for spotting dolphins, manatees, pelicans and gulls. There's an excellent food concession by Cosmos Café & Pizzeria on the pier, plus restrooms and showers. The lovely beach is a favorite family swimming spot, and just a short stroll away are some of Naples' most beautiful beachfront mansions tucked into the dunes.
