The priceless artifact has come home for display at the Marco Island Historical Museum in partnership with the Smithsonian. Considered one of the finest pieces of Pre-Columbian Native American art ever discovered in North America, it is estimated to have been sculpted between 500 and 1,500 years ago by a Calusa tribe artisan.
